on the island of Oahu, a 20-mile drive north and west of Honolulu. The Poke Stop is owned by chef Elmer Guzman, serving both eat-in and take-out seafood dishes.

Of Chef Elmer, the Honolulu Advertiser writes,
He is an alumnus of the culinary arts program at Kapi'olani Community College, and graduated with high honors from the culinary apprenticeship program at the Greenbrier Hotel in West Virginia. Time spent under chef Alan Wong at Mauna Lani Bay Resort and Bungalows, as sous chef at Emeril's Restaurant in New Orleans and executive chef at Sam Choy's Diamond Head Restaurant, has honed his skills, which he couples with an understanding of Island tastes.
Chef Elmer is also the author of "The Shoreline Chef," which contains 100 recipes including Aholehole Etouffee, Akule Poke and Nohu Bouillabaisse, and foreword by Chef Emeril Lagasse.
