According to local sources, the red Camaro seen at recent Triple D shoots in Detroit and Vancouver is a 1968. A few other cars have been seen on the show: in early episodes, a dark blue '66 Mustang. Fans may also recall seeing Guy's Shelby Cobra make a cameo a few times, an "impostor" '67 Camaro in Alaska, and of course there was the "Woodie" in the Hawaii episodes.

We'll update this post as more information on the Triple D car auction becomes available.

Exact dates and times for filming the show are estimates at best. No promises, ok? Haha. As Guy Fieri explained in a recent interview (listen), the show gets its best footage when the restaurant is not overcrowded, just with the restaurant's regular customers and operating in a natural, organic way. It is likely that the restaurants may be closed when Guy Fieri is there, filming the segments in the kitchens.

Expect these JAX and SSI episodes to air on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on the Food Network any time from early May through the summer months of 2010.

Ebay alert - Guy Fieri demo tix available for NY fest

Bid now for 2 tickets to the currently-sold-out Guy Fieri Culinary Demo at the New York Wine & Food Festival on Sunday, October 11, 2009. ebay auction here - auction ends October 1, 2009 around 1:00 p.m., pacific time.

Various other Guy Fieri-oriented items for auction or sale on ebay here.

There are also some tickets listed for sale on newyork.craigslist.org for the NY Festival's opening night.

Caveat emptor is Latin for "Let the buyer beware."

Already, tickets for the Knuckle Sandwich production, The Guy Fieri Road Show, are being auctioned on ebay and sold through various ticket warehousing websites and Craigslist.

If you choose to purchase your tickets from anywhere other than the official ticket vending sites listed on GuyFieri.com/tourdates, please do so very, very carefully.

From what I've seen, procedures have been put in place at several venues to prevent scalpers from inflating the ticket prices (especially for the premium tickets) even more than they already are. I'd hate to hear of someone getting "a great deal," only to find out they are turned away at the door, day of the show.

The Internet can be a great and awful place to do business. Be smart. Read carefully and do your homework. Verify that the tickets will be honored at the venue's door BEFORE you buy. Here's ebay's Security Center, with a link to their Buying with Confidence tour. And here's Craigslist's about > scams.

Guy Fieri helps United Way in Knoxville

According to volunteertv.com, all three Knoxville news anchors joined together in a first-ever simulcast telethon for the United Way of Greater Knoxville. The event at the Bijou Theater was hosted by Hallerin Hill and Guy Fieri.

The United Way raised a few thousand dollars more than their goal of $250,000. For more information go to www.unitedwayknox.org.

Updates on the NYC Wine & Food Festival

Recently, the Metromix New York asked Guy Fieri a few questions about the upcoming 2nd annual New York City Wine & Food Festival.

Newyork.metromix.com
Having attended last year's NYC Wine & Food Festival, what can people expect?

"It's everything from wine tastings and pairings to demos and late-night parties. I went to the Burger Bash last year, where Katie Lee took it all."

What are you going to serve at Chelsea After Dark?

"It could be anything from Italian-Mexican fusion to some crazy pasta choices to some finger food. We really haven't come up with the menu. But if you are the guy who is going to kick off the New York Wine and Food Fest, you better bring your guns. And when I say bring the guns, I don't mean those kind of guns. You can't start the Super Bowl without fireworks."

Let's focus on one dish that you could see yourself making?

"You go to these events and often don't get enough substance. I'm a big pasta fan, so I think the chipotle penne pasta with shrimp and Louisiana hot links could work. Something in the spicy, creamy, fusion category. That would go over well!"

I just checked ticket availability today.

The $280 Guy Fieri Package is SOLD OUT.
The $95 Chelsea Market After Dark, presented by the Food Network, hosted by Guy Fieri and Sandra Lee is SOLD OUT.
The $35 Culinary Demonstrations hosted by Guy Fieri are SOLD OUT.

The Book Signings at the Norwegian Cruise Line Welcome Center (Saturday) are complimentary, but only available to those who have tickets to at least one of the Festival's events. Guy Fieri is scheduled to sign books at 6:00 p.m. More book signing info here.

Guy Fieri to host Oaks Bourbon Brunch in May 2009

Kentucky's Courier Journal reports Guy Fieri will host the inaugural Marriott Oaks Bourbon Brunch on Friday May 1, 2009.

The event features Guy Fieri, renowned pastry chef Gale Gand and mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim with on-site cooking demonstrations, savory food and beverage pairings and incredible silent and live auction items — all for a great cause.

"At the brunch, Fieri will put on a cooking demo using Kentucky Proud products in the bourbon-based courses, mixing in a dash of his signature flair."

Brunch will be held at the Marriott Louisville Downtown from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Tickets are $125. Proceeds benefit the Louisville-based Home of the Innocents.

The Home is the region's open arms to kids in crisis — caring for children of abuse, abandonment and neglect, those who are medically fragile, and children with autism. Last year alone, the Home provided services to over two thousand children and families.

For more information about the event, please contact Ina de Mattos at (502) 596-1016 or idemattos@homeoftheinnocents.org.
