Updates on the Guy Fieri Road Show

The big story of the week is that Guy Fieri's newest book, More Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, hit the #1 spot on NY Times' Bestseller list, after having been on the list for 5 weeks.

The Seattle Times ran an interesting question and answer with Guy Fieri. When asked, What's your riff on the fame game? He replied,
"I don't have to do this. I can always go back to restaurants and cooking [he co-owns three Johnny Garlics "California pasta grill" locations, and two Tex Wasabi's Rock n' Roll Sushi BBQ restaurants]. I miss my family and right behind that I miss cooking. I'm at the age where things with my kids are the most important thing to me. We were in the mountains [in Northern California, where he lives with his wife and two sons] for Thanksgiving, with 10 families and all these RVs, cooking the whole time, using barbecues and three-burner stoves. I watched my 13-year-old son cook chicken Parmagiana for 35 people with his little sous-chefs -- who are 10 to 15 years old. That was my favorite meal."

The interview in Seattle with The BJ Shea Morning Experience on 99.9 KISW, The ROCK of Seattle was one of the best interviews in the show history. Bar none.

Here's the link to that interview.
