For Superbowl Sunday, it's all about the Guac.
Guy Fieri solves your guacamole dip dilemmas on FoodNetwork.com here, answering questions like:
What type of avocado makes the best guacamole? How do I choose avocados at the grocery store? How can I tell when an avocado is ripe? How do I cut up an avocado? And what is in classic guacamole? How can I make the ingredients shine?
Enter the Guac of Fame Contest here. Upload a photo of your guacamole and tell FoodNetwork.com why your guacamole should reign supreme. If your dip dominates the competition, you could win a signed copy of Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives book.
Try Guy Fieri's Guacamole recipe, part of his No Can Beato This Taquito:
3 ripe avocados, peeled and seeded
1 jalapeno, seeded, minced
1/4 cup diced red onion
1/4 cup diced tomato
1/2 bottle of your favorite beer
4 tablespoons sour cream
1 lime, juiced
Small handful cilantro leaves, about 1/4 cup
Salt and pepper
Place all ingredients in a blender and puree.
