Three Guy Fieri signature men's jewelry items, with a nautical star design by Room101, are now available to purchase through OpenSky.com. A fourth design is on the way in January, 2012.

8.5" or 9.5" chain bracelet $215; dog tag with chain $75; cuff link set $75. The Guy Fieri series is crafted in stainless steel.

Add shipping to prices. These items are currently on sale for 8% to 21% off retail; sale ends 12/25/11. Visit OpenSky.com; joining the site is required for purchase.

We first learned of the jewelry design partnership between Guy Fieri and Room101 in October, 2010. Matt Booth of Room101 said, "The nautical star and stars are symbols that I felt were very Guy-esque, and he agreed. More designs to come in the future."

About his company, Matt said:
Room101 is a lifestyle brand - we offer many different classes of goods from cigars to guitars and, of course our main product, offering of jewelry and fashion products. ... Guy has been a good friend and avid supporter of our brand for several years now - he is a true solid and one of the most authentic people to attain his level of stardom.

Another dog tag necklace will be Room101 web store exclusive once they launch the site in January, 2012. Visit www.room101silver.com.

Room101 makes all of Guy's big pieces - bracelet, large rings, necklace. About a year ago, Room101 "added pave white diamonds to the necklace for him," Matt said, referring to the skull-in-chef's-hat pendant. "It looks amazing."

Fan questions, Mid-November, 2011

I've added a new page to this blog, Have a Question? At the end of each month (and sometimes part-way thru!), I'll share what fans are asking and what answers I could find for them. [Some answers are edited for brevity. ~D]

Ron from Ft Worth asked, "How do I get the cheese recipe at Cafe Rakka as seen on the Sauced and Spiced episode."

Our answer: Food Network didn't make that recipe available to the public. I'd suggest contacting the restaurant directly:
Cafe Rakka - Sauced and Spiced
Best of luck! And let us know the results?

-------------------------------------------------------

Lee from Woodstock asked, "What's Guys receipe for exercise?"

Our answer: Guy is known to do cardio workouts about three times each week. He and his family also enjoy outdoor activities like boating, hiking and dirt biking.

-------------------------------------------------------

Jim from Philadelphia wrote, "On November 5 there was a spice leaf used in a bean recipe that is supposed to reduce gas. What was it?
thanks.. "

Our answer: I'm sure it was epazote, pronounced "eh-paw-ZOH-teh." The recipe from the show hasn't been made available on FoodNetwork.com, but here are a few recipes that use this herb - http://www.foodnetwork.com/search/delegate.do?Nr=Record%20Type:Result&N=0&fnSearchString=epazote.

-------------------------------------------------------

Jaci from AZ asked, "Hi! I am looking to find out where and what episode I saw this sauce on. It was an episode I saw the week of 10/31/11-11/6/11. They were making a salsa or sauce that people dip stuff in. It had Habanero and orange juice in it. Can you please tell me what episode that was on! I'd love to try it! :) Thank you!"

Our answer: I'm not exactly sure, but I believe this was the episode you were referring to? View video or visit this recipe, Jamaican Jerk Pit Chicken, from Martin's BBQ Joint in Nolensville, TN - Porkapalooza.

Let us know if we got it right? If not, we'll do more research for you. :-)

-------------------------------------------------------

Deb in Phoenix wondered, "Why doesn't Guy eat eggs?"

Our answer: It's a food preference. Guy enjoys eggs as an ingredient in a dish, just not as the main feature of a dish. He also doesn't care for organ meats, nor sweet chocolates.

-------------------------------------------------------

Miriam from Michegan asked, "on November 14, 2011 you went to a dinner that served macaronni & cheese, I would like her recipe please, thank you"

Our answer: I believe you're referring to Monica May, at the Nickel Diner in Los Angeles, CA - Blast From the Past. Check the video on YouTube to be sure we got the right place?

If so, her mac & cheese recipe has not been made available on FoodNetwork.com. We'd suggest contacting the restaurant directly. Best of luck! And let us know how it goes?

Guy Fieri: on college students, GM cars and hockey!

Colleges.com U Magazine interviewed Guy Fieri recently for a cover story. Guy shares his life's journey, and offers advice for students.

Click here to read; Guy's interview begins on page 18. A few of Guy's quotes from the article:

"I was never pushed to do anything, encouraged to do everything."

"Anything is SO possible in today's day and age. I see success story after success story. Things aren't just going to fall into your lap. You've got to go out there and get it."

"Look to people you admire or that intrest you. Look to your teachers, your community and businesses. Find people you want to be like and ask them to help you. Say to them, 'Mentor me. Give me a shot. Help me out. Send me a direction.'"

Visit www.Colleges.com for more.

-----------------------------

"The Faces of GM" recently ran a story on Guy Fieri, The Chef and his Chevy's, catching up with him at the Woodward Dream Cruise in metro-Detroit this past August.

They wrote, "It’s clear that Guy is passionate about two things – cooking and cars. In fact, he’s seen with his 1967 red Camaro in just about every episode of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on the Food Network. He had the red Camaro with him, along with a yellow 2011 Camaro SS, at the 555 Triangle in Birmingham this August – and even has eight more GM cars at home!"

GM also asked Guy how he developed this passion for the bowtie brand, and he said, "Chevy’s always led the way. The way it looks, the way it all ties together. Chevy’s always just been the coolest."

Visit The Faces of GM for the full article. Or follow them on Twitter @facesofgm!

The Simpsons to spoof FoodTV

Looks like Guy Fieri is joining the ranks of Wolfgang Puck, Gordon Ramsay, Colonel Sanders and the Swedish Chef in an upcoming episode of "The Simpsons." www.tvline.com shared this sneak peek look at "The Food Wife," due to air on Fox November 13, 2011.

In the episode, Marge Simpson starts blogging about Homer's favorite food with Bart and Lisa — "the blue-haired matriarch is the one whose flight of fancy features the guest voices (and yellowed faces) of Mario Batali, Anthony Bourdain and Gordon Ramsay (among others)."

Fan questions, October 2011

I've added a new page to this blog, Have a Question? At the end of each month, I'll share what fans are asking and what answers I could find for them. [Some answers are edited for brevity. ~D]

Angelan from Vero Beach asked, "Why does Guy not eat fried eggs??? Thanks"

Our answer: Guy isn't fond of eggs. He'll use them as an ingredient, but not as a dish by itself. He also doesn't care for chocolate! And says "no way" to liver. :)

---------------------------------------

Jeanie of Freeport asked, "I would like to know where Guy got the giant IPOD on his wall and are they available to purchase?"

Our answer: It's called a Virtuo Smartjuke, by Touchtunes. But they don’t sell to private consumers; their product is for places that play music such bars, clubs, etc.

---------------------------------------

Gaylen of Minneapolis wrote, "Near the end of one of your recent shows, you filmed a strange looking dog staring through a window. I never laughed so hard! Love your sense of humor. Please let me know the name of the episode."

Our answer: Well shoot! I must have missed that one. But you're right, Page Productions did enjoy slipping a little humorous anecdote into the last moments of the show. Always fun. Maybe another reader remembers the episode? Please comment!

---------------------------------------

Mark wondered, "how to get up with somebody who is in charge about the bbq sauce had problem with it and want to report it"

Our answer: I'd definitely start with the store management where you bought it. The BBQ sauces and salsas are produced by Gia Russa. If you have questions regarding ingredients, finding a product locally or packaging, contact them by phone at (800) 527-8772.

---------------------------------------

Hillary from San Antonio wrote, "Why does Guy not wear a wedding ring in the shows from 2011? My husband and I both look for it on every show he does and in 2007 on DDD he is wearing a ring then on shows form 2011 DDD he does not? Also in his normale cooking show he is not wearing a ring?"

Our answer: If it's the ring I think you're referring to, it is not a wedding ring. It's a college graduation ring that Guy bought for himself while still living in Las Vegas. Sometimes he wore it on his left hand 3rd finger, sometimes not.

---------------------------------------

Abbey from Houston asked, "How do I sign-up for tailgate warriors? I have a father daughter team that really wants to be on the show!"

Our answer: Tailgate Warriors was produced by Page Productions. Due to the recent fallout between them and Guy Fieri, that show is not currently in production. If it is ever picked up by another production company, we'll sure post about it!

Guy Fieri's "Midnight Series" of Ergo Chef knives

We first heard of Guy Fieri's association with Ergo Chef knives in April of 2009. Two months later, the announcement was made that Guy's company, Knuckle Sandwich, designed a set of two knives with Ergo Chef, released in August of 2009 - a chef's knife, "The Big Stick," and utility knife, "The Dragon Dagger."

Since that time, a full line of cutlery has been developed, with rave reviews. First announced at the Home & Housewares show in Chicago, March 2011, the Knuckle Sandwich "Midnight Series," is now available at FoodNetworkStore.com for customers who want an elegant and sleek, all-black handle design, still with Guy's signature logo.

Included in the full set:

8-in. Big Stick Chef's Knife with Crisscross Crusher
4-in. Lil' Guy Paring Knife
5.5-in. Chopper Santoku Knife with Crisscross Crusher
5.5-in. Dragon Dagger Utility Knife
8 Steak House Knives
6.5-in. The Beast Meat Cleaver
10-in. Blade Warrior Sharpening Steel
17-Slot Battle Station Storage Block

Features:
The blades are precision heat-treated to keep a great edge.
Patented ergonomic design is created to be an extension of your hand for natural comfort.
Made of high-carbon German stainless steel for stain resistance.
Full tang and abbreviated bolster adds strength and balance.
Hollow ground ovals in blade promote less stick and smoother cuts.

There are some great deals on various knife sets. Click here to see the available options. Please visit ErgoChef.com for more background information, find them on Facebook or follow on Twitter @ergochefknives.

Guy Fieri at the JD Invitational BBQ, 2011

It's been a few years since Guy Fieri went to the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue. He and Ray Lampe were both judges in 2008. In 2003, Ray Lampe is credited with inadvertently naming Guy's then BBQ team, the Motley Que Crew. (the full story)

The JD Invitational that began in 1989 is held every 4th Saturday in October, in Lynchburg, TN. Visit www.jackdaniels.com. Teams are only allowed to compete if they've won a previous competition. Motley Que Crew won the 32nd American Royal BBQ Overall Grand Championship. (See video or visit them on Facebook.)

This year, it appears that Guy Fieri brought mic's and camera crew to the event. Taping a show?

"Wow, even Guy Fieri is here"

"Guy Fieri goofing around with the Master Distiller on the Hill."

"Met Guy Fieri today at the Jack Daniel's BBQ comp. He signed our team's barrel head."

Tickets on sale for 2012 SoBe Wine & Food Festival

Tonight at midnight, tickets to the general public go on sale for the 2012 South Beach Wine and Food Festival.

Guy Fieri's featured event at SoBe Wine & Food Fest will be Moët Hennessy's The Q presented by Allen Brothers, sponsored by Miami magazine, hosted by Emeril Lagasse and Guy Fieri.

The Q will be at Delano, Beachside, 1685 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL, scheduled for Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 7:00pm - 10:00pm. Tickets are $300. Click here for more.

The Q promises to kick off the Festival’s next 10 years in the most glamorous way. To host our opening night, we’ve tapped two major food personalities, Emeril Lagasse and Guy Fieri. Emeril is known for his enthusiastic catchphrase ‘Bam!’ and his highly successful restaurants throughout the US, which specialize in showcasing the cuisine of New Orleans, especially the long history of flavored BBQ creations. He currently hosts the Cooking Channel show Emeril Live and the Food Network Show Essence of Emeril.

Guy Fieri’s charcoal cred includes his Tex Wasabi's restaurants in California, which specialize in bringing Southern BBQ to the West Coast. He also hosts the NBC game show Minute to Win It and Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. At the forefront of this new event is a collection of the best BBQ chefs from across the nation preparing their signature dishes on the grills and in the smokers. From chicken to ribs and brisket to pork buns, expect to run the gauntlet of overflowing flavors and sauces.

A limited number of lucky Q enthusiasts will have the opportunity to purchase VIP tickets ($400) and get a special 45-minute preview. Be the first to try the BBQ as doors are open for you from 6:15-7 PM and watch Emeril Lagasse and Guy Fieri meet and greet The Q chefs and taste what they’ve got cooking.

Barbecue from Guy Fieri's Tex Wasabi's will be there. And participating chefs include Michelle Bernstein, April Bloomfield, Scott Conant, Marc Forgione, Nadia G, Stephanie Izard, Al Roker, Aaron Sanchez and many more.

Tickets for The Q include admission to The Q After Dark. The Q After Dark is your chance to dance the night away while tasting the delicious cocktail concoctions mixed together with a full-bar of spirits from the Moët Hennessy USA portfolio. This is a new tradition of Festival late-night parties! Who knows what remaining fare may be floating around from The Q? Dance in the sand, cocktails in hand, under the stars, with Moët Hennessy bars, party late-night, lots of delight! Sold separately, tickets to Q After Dark are $100.

Fan questions, Mid-October 2011

I've added a new page to this blog, Have a Question? At the end of each month (and sometimes part-way thru!), I'll share what fans are asking and what answers I could find for them. [Some answers are edited for brevity. ~D]

Barbara from South Carolina wrote, "I love food and love to cook. Everything looks so exciting and tasty on the show, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. I cant afford to travel, but would love to with you on one show. To experience the food, fun and the people. My question is would you consider me this wonderful experience just once, PLEASE?"

Our answer: Guy's coming to South Carolina for Diners, Drive-ins and Dives this Fall - we don't have exact dates yet. You can email storyideas@tripledinfo.com for more information, and you can contact Guy's company directly at

Knuckle Sandwich LLC
575 W. College, Suite 202, Santa Rosa, CA 95401

Best of luck! And let us know how it goes?

---------------------------------------------

Ford from Lockney asked, "I really enjoy 'Triple D'! Ask Guy to do a show where truck drivers can get to the location. Many times, experienced as a professional truck driver, the locations featured are such that a large, 80,000lb truck, are not allowed to travel. I love to eat, especially places 'off the hook', so, help out a hungry trucker! Do a show for us 'over-the-road' drivers.

Our answer: So glad to hear you enjoy the show! You can email your suggestion to storyideas@tripledinfo.com

---------------------------------------------

Roy from Anniston asked, "Where in Alabama can i find a decent plate of red beans and rice? Or do you all have a good recipe for some?"

Our answer: Guy suggests
Guy's Gumbo Shack - website
212 & 1/2 Fairhope Ave., Fairhope, AL 36532 - map
(251) 928-4100
www.guysgumbo.com

You can check out their recipe for Red Beans and Rice, or watch the video from Guy's Gumbo Shack. Guy also loved the Red Beans and Rice at Bunk Sandwiches in Portland, OR. Click here for their recipe. Hope that was what you were looking for!

---------------------------------------------

Maurida from San Antonio asked, "What kind of food does Guy Fieri prefer to cook?"

Our answer: What Guy cooks at home is very much like what he cooks on Guy's Big Bite. Pizza from his backyard wood oven, stir-fry Chinese food and Italian meats and pastas are staples.

---------------------------------------------

John from Kansas City asked, "Guy did a video for Rachael Ray from his home kitchen that had a 7' commercial range. Do you know what the brand was?"

Our answer That video was made a long time ago! Visit www.rachaelrayshow.com to view the video. Great find! We're told it's a Viking range.

---------------------------------------------

Leslie from Townsend asked, "Is Guy coming to DE to Helen's Sausage Hose. Rumor has it he is and if so when? We live around the corner and would love to see it. Thank you"

Our answer: We've heard the same rumor! Helen’s Famous Sausage House, Sambo’s Tavern and the Smyrna Diner have all been researched. Last minute decisions and changes prevent the production company from confirming exact dates and locations at this time.

We'll sure keep our ears open!

If you live so close to the Sausage House, it would be worth your time to visit with the owners and request permission to be there the day of the taping. Typically, shoots are closed to the public; guests are present at the shoot by previous arrangement and permission of the owners. Let us know how it goes!

---------------------------------------------

Kristen from Canada asked, "Where can i find/buy your red and black chef jacket? I am extremely desperate to get one by christmas to give as a gift. Any help that could be given to get a hold of one of these chef jackets would be extremely appreciated."

Our answer: They aren't marketed ... yet. That's been in the works for almost a year now. Every so often, one pops up for sale on eBay. We'll keep your email address at hand when we see one!

---------------------------------------------

Robin from Chicago asked, "Was Guy on a plane to Germany (from Chicago) on Sat., Oct. 8, 2011? If not, he has a twin who was signing autographs, lol. Just wondering if it was really him. Thanks :)"

Our answer: No. Guy was playing mini-golf with his boys that night. Sorry! October 8 from @GuyFieri, "Enjoyin' a weekend at home with Hunter and Ryder..." and @Guyfieri, "At Scandia mini golf with Ryder and Hunter. Ryder made a hole in one 3 times, last one on the 18th. Rockin it at age 5!"

---------------------------------------------

Regina from Long Island asked, "Just trying to find out where Guy recommends to eat in Boston, MA. Love his show and know his advice will be great. Traveling up there for a weekend to meet up with my son who is attending his first year of college.
Thanks!"

Our answer: Depending on what kind of place you're looking for, or what kind of food you're craving, in Boston, check out
