Guy Fieri sent out a tweet the other day, "Guy Fieri, Kulinary Gangsta" Harley. Built as a fundraiser for my close friend Lisa who has brain cancer. Tix @ friendsraisingfunds.org.

Readers, you can win a bike valued at over $10,000 for the cost of a $20 raffle ticket.

The motorcycle is being raffled off to benefit Lisa Thompson. Lisa is the wife of Dirty P., Guy Fieri's friend and sous chef. 1. You should really consider having an on-line method to purchase these raffle tickets. You will make it much easier for many more folks to help Lisa.

  2. Hi David,

I talked to Lori Fieri about online raffle ticket sales - it's a legal grey area at best. Each state has its own laws on raffles; some states consider it gambling.

She said, "(Friends Raising Funds is) dealing with the legal aspects of selling tickets online," and is considering using Craigslist soon.

She went on to say that she is "personally sending the raffle tickets to the recipients once the check has cleared."

  3. Oh! And I should have added, for for many more folks to help Lisa (besides buying raffle tickets) would be to forward this post on to friends. Anyone who is a fan of Guy Fieri, his shows, Harley-Davidsons, or just motorcycles in general.

You can do that easily by using the Tweet or Facebook share buttons, or by using the email forward button. Thanks a million.
