Guy Fieri to play at DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl Feb. 6

*Update*
Plans changed. According to theDTV, "Guy Fieri is out." Click here for updated info.

On Saturday, February 6, 2010, the day before Superbowl XLIV, celebrities in film, TV and sports will gather on the sands of South Beach, Forida for the 4th Annual DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl. And Guy Fieri will be one of them.

The Beach Bowl brings together gridiron greats and a who's who of the entertainment world in a no-holds-barred flag football game. Watch Guy Fieri play flag football? Oh yeah. Now I have a reason to go to the SuperBowl! Haha.

Sportscaster Dan Patrick will host the event. Troy Aikman is filling in as quarterback for the white team and Warren Moon will QB the blue team. Eli Manning is set to coach one of the sides, but I haven't heard yet who'll coach the other. Brett Favre maybe? Maybe not.

TV and film stars will fill out the teams. Guy Fieri will be joined by Taylor Lautner, Christian Slater, Chace Crawford, Marisa Miller, Jessica Szohr, Brandon Molale and Kevin Dillon. More details on celebrity team players when I hear of it!

Immediately after the game and trophy presentation, Palladia (website), the HD Music Channel from MTV, presents a post-game concert with the All-American Rejects (website).

The DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl will be broadcast live on The 101 Network:

* 1:30 pm ET - Pre-Game Show
* 2:30 pm ET - Kick-Off
* 3:30 pm ET - Post-Game Concert

Or if you're in Miami over SuperBowl weekend, see it live for free. Gates open at 12:30 p.m. ET at South Beach, Collins Ave (between 21st and 22nd St). The game will also be covered live on Twitter and Facebook.
