Places Guy went to in Houston, Texas for DDD

Click here to view all the Triple D restaurants Guy Fieri visited in the Houston, TX area.

Guy Fieri was in Houston, Texas this past week, June 22 - 25, 2009, taping for the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. An anonymous tip sent me this list of restaurants from the Houston area. We only conjecture that these will be Triple D locations; the only ones I can verify is T-Bone Tom's (source), Red Lion Pub (source) and Bob's Taco Station (source).

Expect these episodes to air on the Food Network mid-August at the earliest. It takes 6 weeks to 6 months from taping, through production, to airing on TV.

  1. Today June 27, 2009 we were in Niko Niko's on Montrose Blvd. and we can verify Guy was there. There is a Food Network stencil and Guy's autograph on the wall to the left of the soda machines.

  3. I love the show and was excited to hear that you'd be coming to Houston. The places that (in my opinion) you should have added would have been the Little Bitty Burger Barn, the Hubcap Grill and Star Pizza. Otherwise, your choices were good ones.

  4. Mike, I understand that they will often close the restaurant during the tapings of Guy's segments. I wonder if he wasn't in the kitchen at the time you were there?

And thank you for the Cafe Pita's website. I'm updating the post immediately. :)

  6. Amazing how there have been multiple trips to Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas but this is the first foray into the Houston area. You know, since the city of Houston has approximately the same population as any other TWO cities in Texas.

Would have been nice to have seen some true Mexican restaurants on this list, though.

  8. Hello anon 11:56,

The Cafe Pita episode is still in production, no formal announcement about it yet.

Keep an eye on this post - as soon as the airdate is announced, I'll update it here and link to its DDD webpage.

The Houston episodes have been the most popular to date, by far!
